The Willisburg Kentucky History Center is operated and maintained by the Willisburg Historical and Genealogical Society. The Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to maintaining the history of Washington Co. KY and the surrounding area, and the history of the families that live here and have lived here as early as the late 1770's. The center is located in the former Willisburg Baptist Church at 2387 Main St., Willisburg, KY 40078.

The History Center is open to the public 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday thru Saturday. The Center can be open upon request during the evening. The Center includes a museum with displays of historical artifacts and the Genealogy Center. The Center specializes in family history from Mercer, Nelson and Washington Counties. We also have some records on the surrounding counties of Anderson, Boyle and Marion. The genealogy library includes published books on local history, census records, marriage records and cemetary records. 

The Center includes computers dedicated to organizing, displaying and printing out genealogy data. The computers are available to the public. We have a goal of collecting, preserving and making available genealogy data to the public for families in the surrounding area.
